Movie reviews
Most of us like to go to the movies, but we don’t all
have the same taste when it comes to choosing what to
see. Sometimes we decide to see a movie because of the
actors or because we liked the trailer. Some people get
paid for going to the movies, but it might not be as much
fun as it sounds. Those people are called critics or movie
reviewers. They have to watch the movie with certain
things in mind. Their job is to inform others about the
movie. Sometimes the reviewers are positive about the
movie but sometimes they are negative. Different movie
reviewers may have different opinions about the same
movie. What one critic might find fun can be a total
bore for another.
Use the guidelines below to review
a movie you have seen.
Title
Give your critique a title.
Where
Write the name of the movie and where you can go
to see it.
Introduction
Explain the story without revealing too much
information. Remember to say what kind of a movie it is.
Review
Give your opinion about the movie.
You should give reasons
for your opinion.
Characters
Talk about the characters and
the actors.
Ending
Put your main opinion in one
or two sentences to sum up
what you just wrote.
