In one place in the town of Kópavogur there is a rock
called Álfasteinn in the middle of a road. Because of the
firm belief that elves live there the road narrows. In some
towns, for example Hafnarfjörður, people have created
a map of where elves are believed to live. Doing so has
helped them to not accidentally interfere with the lives
of these hidden, little people.
