She was so surprised. What was Sharon doing? Was she

Sharon spoke at last.

Linda froze; she didn’t know what to do. She had never
taken anything that wasn’t hers. Her old friends would
never steal. Her parents had taught her to pay for
everything she took.
Sharon was getting impatient.
‘Hurry up, before they notice us. Take something!
Don’t be a chicken!’
‘What should I do?’ thought Linda. ‘I don’t want to
steal but I don’t want to lose Sharon as my friend.
