Work in groups for the following

Plan the Johnsons’ holiday for each day.
Find things for each family member to do.
Remember to say where they will spend the
night, where they eat and what activities
they will try. Make a presentation for the
class using, for example, posters, brochures
or slide shows.

Choose one of the following:

Write a dialogue between Scott and a
person working in a hotel reception. Scott
wants to book a hotel for the family.

Write a postcard from the children to their
friends in Brighton.
•
Write a diary for one family member. Write
about what you did that day, what you saw
and how you felt.
They have to plan their holiday carefully. They are going
to spend one week in Iceland and will try to see and
experience as much as they can.
Laura doesn’t really want to go because all her friends
are at home. Her parents say that Iceland might surprise
her and try to plan fun things for the children every
day. They also plan to visit beautiful places for Taylor to
photograph and cultural places for Scott.
