TALKING 35 Excuse notes a) Scan the text to find your two favourite excuse notes. Write keywords from each. b) Work with a partner. Use your keywords to retell the excuses to each other. c) Imagine the two of you did not do task a) and b). Come up with at least one excuse together for why you did not do the tasks. Write it down as an excuse note and share in class. 36 Discover the lie a) Individually, write down three facts and one lie about yourself. b) In groups of four, read the four things you have written about yourself. The others can try to guess which is the lie. Continue until everyone’s lies have been discovered.
