4 Love and loss 159 TALKING 3 Play charades Work in groups of four and divide each group into two teams: A and B. Write down all the focus words on pieces of paper. One person from team A draws a note and mimes the focus word. Their partner has 45 seconds to guess the focus word. If they succeed, team A get a point. Then team B does the same. Play until all the focus words have been used. The team with the most points wins. You can also add focus words from other chapters you have worked with in Engelsk 9. They sound similar, but they mean different things. a) Translate these sentences into Icelandic and decide which word class lose and loose belong to in each context: Idon’t want to lose my place in the queue. Ihave a loose tooth. b) Write a “rule” to clearly explain the difference between the adjective loose and the verb lose. c) What do you think is going on in the photo to the right?
