Write the following dilemmas on pieces of paper. Draw one, and explain what you would choose if you were faced with this dilemma. Remember to give reasons for your answers. Would you rather have no elbows or no knees? Would you rather only be able to whisper or only be able to shout? Would you rather always speak your mind or never speak again? Would you eat six fish eyes or a small frog? Would you rather have legs as long as your fingers, or fingers as long as your legs? You can all come up with two or three dilemmas yourselves that you write on pieces of paper. 11 Talk about stories First, make a list of your top-three favourite stories. You can think of stories you have read or films you have seen. Then, work with a partner: a) Take turns in explaining to each other why these are your favourite stories. b) Every story has a “problem”. What is the problem in these stories? Take turns in explaining to each other. c) Who is your favourite character from these stories? What is it about him or her that you like? Describe your favourite characters. d) Are there any characters you dislike? Explain how this character is presented, how they act, and why you don’t like them. A dilemma is when you have to make a choice between two or more options and you don’t want to choose any of them. an option – valmöguleiki Hæfniviðmið • Tjáð sig skipulega um efni sem hann þekkir eða hefur unnið með í námi sínu og brugðist við spurningum.
