Choose at least four of the six-word stories and do task a) and b) with each of them. a) What do you think this story is about? Each of you freewrites for one minute. b) Share your thoughts with the group. c) Do you interpret the stories differently? Write down a few keywords to sum up the interpretations of each story. 6 Invent a six-word story Work with a partner. One of you starts by saying a word. The other comes up with the next word. Go back and forth until you have a six-word story. Write it down. Make several six-word stories and share the ones you like the best with the rest of the class. Writing 7 Find synonyms A synonym is a word or a phrase that means almost the same as another word or phrase. Example: The word happy is a synonym for the word cheerful or glad. One word can have several synonyms. First, write down any words you think are synonymous with each of the following words.
