the body of the new monster. I tore it apart. The monster
outside gave a horrible screaming sound and burst into my
laboratory.
‘How dare you take her away from me?’ demanded the
monster.
‘I cannot make another devil like you. That’s wrong,’
I replied.
‘You understand nothing, Frankenstein. Every living
creature is meant to have a partner. Why don’t you want me
to be happy? You are going to be married soon and you wish
to find happiness. I will leave now, but remember, I will get
my revenge. I will be with you on your wedding night.’
The monster disappeared into the night.
I took the remains of the female body, put it into my boat
and threw the body into the sea. Then I sailed to the
mainland. When I approached I saw several people waiting
for me in the harbour. They were all in shock because of a
murder. They described the murderer as a very big person,
bigger than anyone they had seen before. The people stood
around a lifeless body; I felt sick. This person had died
because of me. This was revenge from the monster.
The lifeless body was the body of Henry my dear friend.
‘Why didn’t you wait for me in Perth like we agreed?’
I cried.
Poor Henry had been strangled by my monster.
