A new life style

Fill in the gaps by putting the verbs into the infinitive or the -ing form.

Mike loves the great outdoors. He enjoys (fish), (camp), (hike) and (ski). I wanted (be) like him - outgoing, healthy and with a multitude of friends - but I just didn't seem (have) the organizational skills or the time (get out) of the house. Finally I made up my mind (do) something. I decided (go) (hike) every weekend. That was marvellous. Instead of (vacuum clean), (dust), (wash) and (iron), I was with a group of people, all of whom appreciated (be) in the open air away from the hustle and bustle of the town. In order to achieve my goal, I postponed everything - not only the housework, but (garden), (mow) the lawn, (weed) and other such joys. Unfortunately, after a month the house and garden were a mess. I considered (get) some advice, so I stopped (fret) and decided (call) Mike. He told me not (worry) about it so much. You have (decide) what is more important: (get) out or (have) everything perfectly clean in the house. He encouraged me (consider) the health benefits of (be) in the countryside. In the end, he persuaded me (risk) (have) a slightly messy house in exchange for (breath) fresh air and (improve) my life. I think I made the right choice.
