This side is more difficult. Local mountain guides called Sherpas helped Malavath reach the top. This is what Malavath says when she talks about the journey: “When I saw the top, I started running. The world seemed very small from the top. I lifted my flag. I felt on top of the world.” When the journey was over, Malavath went back to school. “School is very important,” she says. In her town, few people can read and write. Malavath wants to be a police officer when she grows up. She hopes to be a role model for poor children like herself. She wants to inspire young people to follow their dreams. 98 / n i nety-e ight the youngest sú yngsta reached náði the highest sá hæsti poor fátæk climbed klifraði climbers klifrari journey ferð seemed virkaði lifted lyfti I felt mér leið follow fylgja
