eighty-five / 85 Did you know? Like the real Titanic, Brynjars Lego Titanic also got damaged. It happened while being shipped across countries. The entire front part of the model collapsed. At that point Brynjar Karl was close to giving up, it would take him at least 5 months to repair the damage if not more and he would need a lot of new LEGO bricks. But then a group of LEGO nerds helped him to move the broken model to Germany and rebuild the broken part in 4 days. Now it's in safe hands and on display at the Titanic Attraction Museum in Tennessee. „How about building an exact Titanic replica out of legos?“ And so, he did. He met up with his grandfather that helped him with the blueprints and downsizing the ship to a total of 6.33 meters. He gathered fundings for the almost 70 thousand lego bricks he needed for the project. In 11 months Brynjar Karl managed to build the world’s largest lego ship by the age of twelve. In the process his story got viral. His story has been covered on all major news platforms, both local and international. A film has been made, telling his story. Brynjar Karl himself has told his story on Ted talk. His Titanic has travelled to shows in many countries and is now one of the main attractions in the Titanic museum in Tennessee, USA. Brynjar Karl has shown the world that if you believe in yourself anything is possible. Verkefni 20-23
