NEXT UP! 2 54 The Burning House Project Individual task to be presented in groups The items that are important to us often say something about who we are and our stories. Now it’s your turn to create your own “Burning House Project”. Identify the objects most important to you and prepare a presentation. You will present in groups of four and have a conversation after the presentations. Individual task At home, place five to eight items that are important to you in a square on the floor. Take a photo of your items. If you find it hard to choose your items, think of ones that: • are connected to particular memories • are irreplaceable • you have inherited • you feel represent you in some way Presentation Bring a photo of your items to class. You can print it out, or upload it to a platform you have access to in school. You will be presenting to a smaller group of your classmates, and your presentation should be approximately five minutes long. In your presentation, you should: • describe each item and explain what they are. • tell the story behind each item. Why do you have these things? • explain why these items are important to you.
