Referring a case to the Advisory Board To refer a case to the Advisory Board, send an email to
[email protected] providing the information listed on the webpage If help is needed to compose a written statement, you can contact the Ad- visory Board’s assistant, who will offer assistance with writing down the facts of the case, either through the telephone or by arranging a meeting. The Advisory Board will gather additional information from the persons concerned, both in writing and through interviews. The nature of each case determines what information is requested and who is invited for in- terviews. On this basis, the Advisory Board determines whether the case fulfils the criteria for a formal assessment by the Board. Finally, an advi- sory opinion is issued, containing an appraisal of the case and the Board’s position thereon. If the Advisory Board considers the case not to fall under its purview ac- cording to the Rules of Procedure, the person who initiated the case will receive advice on how to proceed, depending on the nature of the case. The Advisory Board will conduct a follow-up to its advisory opinion to as- certain the status of the case and whether the advice given by the Board was followed. If the Board considers that its advice has not been followed https://mms.is/visun-mals
